How to: Use a graphic image as wallpaper (background) for a report.
Solution:
In the Report Design view, use the 'Picture', 'Picture Type', 'Picture Size Mode' and 'Picture Alignment' property boxes in the property sheet of the report to use a graphic image as wallpaper for a report.
1) If the Database window is not active, activate the Database window.
2) Click the 'Reports' tab in the Database window.

3) Select the desired report from the list box. (The selected report is highlighted.)
4) Click 'Design'. (The selected report appears in the Design view, and the floating Toolbox appears.)
5) Click on the Record Selector.

6) Select the 'View' menu and select 'Properties'. (The property sheet appears.)
7) Click the 'Format' tab.
8) Click on the 'Picture' box.
9) Type the path and filename for the graphic image.
NOTE: Access supports .BMP, .ICO, .DIB, .WMF, and .EMF graphic formats.
10) Click on the 'Picture Type' box. (A down arrow appears.)
11) Click the down arrow. (A drop-down list appears.)
12) Do one of the following:
a) Select 'Embedded' from the 'Picture Type' drop-down list to embed the graphic.
b) Select 'Link' from the 'Picture Type' drop-down list to link the graphic.
13) Click on the 'Picture Size Mode' box. (A down arrow appears.)
14) Click the down arrow. (A drop-down arrow appears.)
15) Do one the following:
a) Select 'Clip' from the 'Picture Size Mode' drop-down list to display the picture at actual size.
NOTE: If the picture is too large, the picture is cropped.
b) Select 'Stretch' from the 'Picture Size Mode' drop-down list to size the picture to the report.
NOTE: If the picture is smaller than the report, the image may be distorted.
c) Select 'Zoom' from the 'Picture Size Mode' drop-down list to size the picture to fill either the height or width of the report.
NOTE: This setting will not distort the image, but it may not fill the report in either the height or width.
16) Click on the 'Picture Alignment' box. (A down arrow appears.)
17) Click the down arrow. (A drop-down list appears.)
18) Select the desired alignment location from the 'Picture Alignment' drop-down list.
19) Click on the 'Picture Pages' box. (A down arrow appears.)
20) Click the down arrow. (A drop-down list appears.)
21) Do one of the following:
a) Select 'All Pages' from the 'Picture Pages' drop-down list to have the picture appear on every page of the printed report.
b) Select 'First Page' from the 'Picture Pages' drop-down list to have the picture print on the first page of the printed report.
c) Select 'No Pages' from the 'Picture Pages' drop-down list to exclude the picture from printing on all pages of the printed report.
22) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Save' to save the form.
